19 Feb (HS): Amit Balmiki, a 35-year-old Dalit, died tragically after being

stabbed in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, police said. The disturbing finding of

Balmiki's body was uncovered in Shahdabber village, which is under the

authority of Budhana Police Station. Authorities have sent the body for a

post-mortem, and a murder investigation has begun in response to the family's

complaint. The suspect, Chavinder, reportedly carried out the attack while

Balmiki was on his way home. Efforts to capture Chavinder are underway, with

security in the village beefed up to maintain law and order, a police officer

revealed.
