Chennai, 20 February (H.S.): Samsung has sought the intervention of the Tamil Nadu government to ensure workers' safety and ease of doing business at its manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur on Thursday.
The company has expressed concerns over the ongoing protests by a section of workers, which have affected production and posed a risk to employee safety. Samsung has appealed to the state government to take necessary measures to maintain law and order, ensuring a conducive business environment.
According to Samsung India , a section of workers once again illegally tried to disrupt operations and industrial peace on Thursday and that the company has a zero-tolerance policy for any illegal activities by workers that disrupt industrial stability and peace at
the workplace.
“While our production remains uninterrupted, we urge the state authorities to secure the safety of our workers, maintain discipline and provide ease of doing business, a spokesperson for the company said in a statement.
The company remains committed to its investment and operations in Tamil Nadu, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful and collaborative work atmosphere.
