Bhubaneswar, 6 December (H.S.) : BJP MLA Sanatan Bijuli on Saturday raised serious concerns in the Odisha Assembly over the growing cases of teachers securing jobs using fake caste certificates and forged mark sheets. He demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter along with strict punitive action against all those found guilty.
Calling education a crucial sector and emphasising that the future of children depends on the integrity of teachers, Bijuli said that individuals who entered the profession through fraudulent means pose a direct threat to the quality of education. He stated that such wrongdoing must be dealt with severely to preserve the sanctity of the teaching profession.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Bijuli referred to recent media reports from Mayurbhanj district, where several individuals were allegedly employed as teachers using forged documents. He added that such incidents are not limited to Mayurbhanj but are emerging from different parts of the state.
He urged the government to conduct a swift and high-level investigation, identify all those involved, and award exemplary punishment to deter similar fraudulent activities in the future.
