Guwahati, 03 December (HS): Rajiv Bhavan on Wednesday commemorated the birth anniversary of the first President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad with a solemn tribute ceremony. The programme began at 11 am with the lighting of a lamp and floral tributes offered before the portrait of the Bharat Ratna awardee.

Senior Congress leader Rajendra Das initiated the ceremony with the traditional lamp-lighting ritual. The floral tribute event saw the presence of several senior Congress leaders, including Hoshiyar Singh, Nagendranath Goswami, Bipul Chakraborty and Pranjal Borgohain. More than a hundred people participated in the observance, paying homage to the revered national figure.
