Rohitk Royals, the franchise representing Rohtak city in the inaugural season of the Kabaddi Champions League (KCL), announced on Wednesday the appointment of Surendra Nada, one of Indian kabaddi’s most revered figures, as their head coach. With his vast experience, leadership acumen, and strategic prowess, Nada will prepare the Royals for a formidable campaign in the league’s debut edition.
Born on July 1, 1987, in Jhajjar, Haryana, Surendra Nada ranks among the sport’s all-time greatest defenders, renowned for his lethal ankle holds and consistently stellar defensive displays. In the Pro Kabaddi League’s opening season, he claimed the highest tackle points, earning widespread acclaim, and holds the rare record of achieving five consecutive ‘High 5s,’ underscoring his dominance in defense.
