
Jammu, 22 December (H.S.): Udhampur Police has attached immovable and movable properties worth approximately ₹1.20 Crore belonging to an inter-district drug peddler under Section 68 (F) of the NDPS Act, in connection with FIR No. 117/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Rehambal.
The attached properties belong to Wahid Maqbool Mir son of Mohd. Maqbool Mir, of Shilvet, Sumbal, District Bandipora.
The details of the attached/seized properties are as under Double-storey residential house constructed on 08 Marlas of land, falling under Survey No. 344, Abadi Deh, situated at Shilvet, Sumbal, District Bandipora.
Two Tipper bearing Registration No. JK19-1061 and No. JK01N-7343.
During the course of investigation, detailed financial scrutiny and backward linkage analysis revealed that the accused had acquired the said properties through proceeds of narcotics trafficking. Based on these findings, the competent authority has passed the attachment order today and further legal proceedings under the NDPS Act are underway.
Udhampur Police’s NDPS property attachment tally for the year has now reached ₹18.85 Crore, showcasing its sustained offensive against Drug Peddlers.
