New Delhi, 21 December (H.S.): Union Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Dr. Jitendra Singh stated on Sunday that electric vehicles (EVs) are propelling India's development across environmental protection and job creation.

Speaking at the Electric Vehicle (EV) Expo organised at Bharat Mandapam, Singh highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for clean transportation and youth entrepreneurship. He stressed the need for greater awareness and outreach among young people regarding opportunities in the EV sector.

Singh identified key pillars of electric mobility's growth: a green and sustainable future, India's rising role as a global partner, and a holistic approach to clean energy. He asserted that electric mobility transcends mere transportation or environmental concerns, emerging as a powerful engine for entrepreneurship, employment, and livelihoods.

Applications in ambulances, e-rickshaws, passenger vehicles, and commercial uses are expanding rapidly. Singh reviewed the extensive range of Make in India EV products, components, and clean mobility technologies on display, engaging in discussions with stakeholders.
