Nagpur, 15 Dec (HS): The design of the proposed

Nagpur-Goa Shaktipeeth Mahamarg has been changed slightly to touch Solapur, Sangli

and Chandgad. The slight change in the route was announced by Chief Minister

Devendra Fadnavis in Nagpur.

The changes are being carried out following

suggestions by the people for more viable alignment. The land acquisition in Pandharpur

is in progress. Fadnavis also said that demonstrations were held with demand passing

the highway through Chandgad. The changes in the route have been made not

because of their demand, but top make it more viable.
