
Delhi, 15 December (H.S.): Newly appointed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Working President Nitin Nabin formally assumed charge of his office at the party headquarters on Monday, marking an important organizational transition at the national level.
The ceremony was attended by BJP National President J. P. Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who congratulated Nabin on his new responsibility and symbolically seated him in the party president’s chair.
The event was held amid enthusiastic applause and warm greetings from party members and functionaries.
After assuming charge, Nitin Nabin paid floral tributes to the party’s ideological stalwarts Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at the headquarters. He arrived at the BJP central office around 4 p.m., where he was received by National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, senior leaders Dushyant Gautam, several Delhi ministers, and other prominent party officials.
Before departing from Patna, Nabin expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar and his constituency, saying that his elevation to the national leadership role was possible only with their blessings and continued trust.
Speaking to the media, he said, “This is not merely a personal achievement, but a reflection of the faith my people have placed in me. I dedicate this responsibility to their unwavering support.”
Party sources said that with Nabin’s appointment, the BJP leadership aims to strengthen its organizational presence across states and energize its cadre ahead of upcoming elections.
