Allahabad High Court

Prayagraj,

13 Dec (HS): The Allahabad High Court has directed that the finances of BHS and

GHS be administered jointly by the Principal and an ADM rank officer to ensure

that the college continues to run efficiently.

The court stayed the implementation of the single bench orders dated

November 6, 2025, amended order dated November 26, 2025, and a portion of the

order dated November 28, 2025, and ordered that the special appeals filed

against the orders be heard on January 28, 2026.

This ruling was issued by a division bench of

Chief Justice Arun Bhansali and Justice Kshitij Shailendra while hearing

appeals submitted by the Managing Committee of Allahabad High School Society

and others, including churches.

The

single bench had directed that the institute's accounts be administered by the

Principals, District Magistrate, and Police Commissioner, with Justice Umesh

Kumar assigned as an observer to review the records and conduct meetings. The

Division Bench of High Court Prayagraj, comprised of Chief Justice Arun

Bhansali and Justice Kshitij Shailendra, stayed the High Court's order dated

6.11.2025, which appointed observers in Boys High School Prayagraj and Girls

High School Prayagraj, and stated that the school will continue to operate in

the same manner as it did prior to 6.11.2025. The single bench issued numerous

more rulings on matters such as inter-institutional dispute and irregularities,

criminal proceedings, and so on.

According

to the society's counsel, all parties agreed to a stay of the single bench

ruling until the appeal was heard. The

court stated that hearing the appeal will take time. And has stayed one of the directives in the

contentious single-judge ruling. The

Church of North India is at odds with the Church of India Burma, Pakistan, and

Ceylon on how to govern the institutions.
