Bhubaneswar, 13 December (H.S.): Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant will visit Odisha on Sunday, marking his first official visit to the state since assuming office as the country’s top judicial authority.
During his visit, Justice Surya Kant will take part in a special interactive discussion at Saheed Bhavan in Cuttack. The programme is being organised by the Orissa High Court Bar Association and will see the participation of senior advocates, legal experts, and judicial officers.
The session is expected to focus on key issues concerning justice delivery, judicial reforms, and the evolving role of the judiciary. Justice Surya Kant’s presence is seen as significant, particularly in the context of his recent elevation as Chief Justice of India, and is likely to motivate young members of the Bar while reinforcing engagement between the judiciary and the legal community in Odisha.
Arrangements are being finalised to accord a warm welcome to the Chief Justice. The Bar Association has planned a structured programme aimed at highlighting Odisha’s contributions to the legal profession and fostering meaningful dialogue on contemporary legal challenges.
