
Nagpur, 10 Dec (HS): Maharashtra’s Revenue Minister
and Guardian Minister of Nagpur and Amravati Chandrashekhar Bawankule directed
the Public Works Department authorities to expedite developmental works in
Nagpur and Amravati. PWD Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhonsale was present.
During a meeting with various developmental works, including
the proposal of new VVIP Guest House in Naag Bhana worth Rs 222.22 crore,
Officers’ Houses in Ravi Bhavan premises worth Ts 54.91 crore, Development of
Sickle Cell and Thalassemia Department at Government Medical College, Nagpur with
estimated cost of Rs 175.28 crore, and employees’ quarters by investing Rs 400
crore were discussed.
Road development is to on the priority list of
Bawankule. In the budget 24 works worth Rs 1,147 crore have been proposed,
including Thane-Niharwani-Khat road (252 cr), Kothurna-Salai-Chargaon road (180
cr), and ropeway at Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple at Koradi in Nagpur (82.34 cr).
The proposals of VVIP suite in Vishram Bhavan premises
in Amravati (Rs 28.26 cr), Government Guest Houses in Daryapur (Rs 10 cr), in
Anjangaon Surji (Rs 51.38 cr), Rural Hospital at Chandur Bazar (Rs 26.40 cr). In
Amravati division were discussed.
Bawankule warned the officers that the work should be
personally supervised on the site by them Any compromise with the quality of
construction work will not be tolerated.
