Delhi, 4 November (H.S.): In a virtual address to female party workers in Bihar on Tuesday, Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi asserted that the women of the state are standing as a formidable wall against the return of 'jungle raj,' a term he used to describe the previous rule of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Speaking via the Namo app as part of the Mera Booth Sabse Majboot (My Booth, The Strongest) initiative, the Prime Minister positioned the NDA government as a guarantee for the bright future of Bihar's sisters and daughters. He declared, Every woman in Bihar is saying – 'Once again, an NDA government; once again, a government of good governance.'
PM Modi contrasted the past with the present, stating that during the era of 'jungle raj,' it was difficult for daughters to step out of their homes. Today, daughters are working without fear in hospitals, at railway stations, and in many places, even at night, he said. He accused opponents of spreading all sorts of lies to mislead the women of Bihar.
The Prime Minister urged party workers to strive for a victory so decisive that those who have lied, insulted Chhathi Maiya, and kept Bihar in jungle raj should lose their security deposits.
He highlighted the NDA government's continuous efforts to empower women and improve their lives, citing schemes like the Mudra Yojana, which supports small businesses, and the Jeevika Didi and dairy programs, which promote self-reliance. He also noted that good governance and the rule of law create opportunities for women, enabling them to become job creators.
We have also made preparations to run metro services in several cities in Bihar, he added.
Praising the dedication of the female party workers, PM Modi said, The BJP's women workers in Bihar are doing excellent work with the 'Mera Booth, Sabse Majboot' resolve. He noted the large turnout of women at rallies as a sign of strong support.
Expressing confidence in the upcoming elections, the Prime Minister predicted that the people of Bihar, with development resonating across all communities, have decided to give the NDA more seats than in the last 20 years, while handing the proponents of 'jungle raj' their most crushing defeat ever.
