
Mumbai, 04 Nov (HS): The Maharashtra Government has
cleared the proposal to start a new Government Polytechnic in Chandrapur’s Mul.
Posts of 39 teachers and 42 non-teaching staff were also sanctioned. The posts
will be filled in phases. The decision was taken the Cabinet meeting on
Tuesday.
The new polytechnic will have an intake capacity of
300. The new Government Polytechnic will help in yout from rural areas in
acquiring technical skills required for the industrial development of the
state. Following establishment of Lloyd Metal and Minerals unit in Gadchiroli’s
Surjagad, an industrial area is expected to be developed in the region. The
students from the new polytechnic will have employment opportunities in the area.
