BETTIAH, 4 November (H.S.): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at an election rally on Tuesday, declared that a defense corridor would be established in Bihar, and cannonballs made there will be used to answer Pakistan. He was addressing the crowd at the high school sports stadium in Mainatand, West Champaran district, in support of NDA candidate Samriddha Verma.

The Home Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the Pahalgam incident with Operation Sindoor. He also highlighted the revocation of Article 370, which had been in place in Kashmir for 550 years.

When Article 370 was removed, the opposition claimed that rivers of blood would flow in Kashmir, Shah said. Forget rivers of blood, no one even dares to throw a stone in Kashmir now.

Shah labeled the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) the Mahathagbandhan (Grand Deception Alliance), asserting that it has neither a leader nor a policy.

He added, It is not even clear who is contesting from which seat. He predicted a decisive defeat for the parties of Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav on November 14.

The Union Home Minister confidently claimed that the NDA would form the government in Bihar once again, stating that the five constituent parties of the NDA are united like the Pandavas, contesting all 243 assembly seats.Shah also made several promises, including an increase in the annual amount for farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi from ₹6,000 to ₹9,000.He announced plans to upgrade the airports in Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur to international status.

Drawing a comparison between governments, Shah said that during the 10-year tenure of the Congress-led central government, Bihar received only ₹2.8 lakh crore. In contrast, under the Modi government's 10 years, Bihar has been allocated ₹18.7 lakh crore. He credited the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with ending the jungle raj (reign of lawlessness) in Bihar. He alleged that during the 15-year rule of Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi, an empire of scams was established, and the state was plagued by kidnapping, robbery, Naxalism, and crime, while the public suffered from a lack of electricity, water, and roads.

Under Nitish Kumar's leadership, he said, Bihar is rapidly progressing and is now joining the ranks of developed states. The man whose father pushed Bihar into 'jungle raj' through scams worth lakhs of rupees, his son now wants to bring back that era, Shah said, in a clear reference to Tejashwi Yadav.

The 2025 assembly election is not about making MLAs and ministers, but about saving Bihar from 'jungle raj'. He appealed to the people at the rally to vote for JDU candidate Samriddha Verma to ensure a better future for Bihar.
