Guwahati, 26 October (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday announced that the State government has taken a major decision to regularise the services of over 12,000 teachers working under the Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA).

The Chief Minister said that the government has been consistently working over the past few years to provide the best possible facilities to teachers and address their long-pending grievances.

“Recently, the Assam Cabinet approved a decision to allow over 12,000 SSA teachers to apply for regularisation under relaxed rules,” Dr. Sarma said, reaffirming the government’s commitment towards the welfare and stability of the teaching community.-------
