Lucknow, 28
Oct (HS): The pious Joda Sahib of the 'Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra', a
powerful emblem of the Sikh community's faith, was warmly welcomed in Lucknow. The Yatra is related with the famous Joda
Sahib (holy footwear) of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, and
Mata Sahib Kaur, who are both regarded as the most sacred symbols of Sikh
devotion. During the occasion on
Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the Guru tradition
conferred to India not just faith but also the virtues of service, sacrifice,
and national protection. He emphasized
that it is our joint responsibility to maintain this spiritual legacy and pass
on its inspiration to future generations. Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister,
attended the event as well.
At a special
ceremony conducted at Yahiyaganj Gurudwara, the Chief Minister listened to
Guruvani and honored Yatra participants by tying turbans on their heads. The Gurudwara Committee greeted him with
robes and mementos.
Addressing the assemblage, the Chief Minister
said, Jithe jaaye bahey mera Satguru, so thaan suhava Ram raje,
which means that wherever the Guru's holy feet rest, that location becomes as pious
as Ramrajya. He stated that Yatra
reconnects people with the ancient Guru heritage, which gave India a new path
in culture, courage, and sacrifice.
CM Adityanath expressed appreciation to Union
Minister Puri and stated that the Yatra began on the 350th martyrdom
anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj.
It is more than just a spiritual trip; it is a powerful homage that
urges renunciation, sacrifice, and loyalty to the country.
He praised
the Sikh Gurus for their invaluable contributions to India's timeless legacy.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, and his four Sahibzadas
continue to inspire generations with their ultimate sacrifices for religion,
humanity, and the nation.
The Chief
Minister stated that the precious footprints of Guru Maharaj, which were previously
in Pakistan (then undivided India), have been housed at Patna Sahib for
approximately 250 years. Starting in
Delhi, this Yatra is spreading reverence and pride for the Guru heritage
throughout the country. He went on to
say that the Yahiyaganj Gurudwara in Lucknow is particularly significant since
it is related with Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, both
of whom represent shared religion and national unity.
CM Adityanath
reaffirmed his admiration for the Sikh community, saying that the Guru
tradition represents faith, service, and sacrifice for the nation. He advised everyone to preserve this rich
legacy and use it to inspire their future endeavors. He went on to say that the Yatra is more than
simply a recollection of the past; it is also a guiding beacon for the present
and future, and he encourages all devotees to spread this message of national
unity and spiritual enlightenment. The occasion was attended by UP Cabinet
Minister Suresh Khanna, Minister of State Baldev Singh Aulakh, Minority
Commission Member Sardar Parbinder Singh, Gurudwara Committee officials, and
other public figures.
