VIENNA, 25 October (H.S.): India's Yuki Bhambri and his Croatian partner Andre Goransson have advanced to the men's doubles semifinals of the Vienna Open 2025. The duo secured their spot on Friday after receiving a walkover from the world No. 2 pair of Mate Pavić and Marcelo Arévalo in the quarterfinals.

The match was forced to an early conclusion when the Pavić-Arévalo team withdrew due to an injury. At the time, the contest was evenly poised, with Bhambri and Goransson having fought back to win the second set 6-4 after narrowly losing the first set 6-7(6).

The defeated pair are the reigning French Open 2024 champions, where they defeated the Italian duo of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori in the final. This marks the second time this year that Bhambri has been part of a team that has overcome Pavić and Arévalo, having previously done so in the quarterfinals of the Dubai ATP 500 tournament with former partner Ivan Dodig.

In the semifinals scheduled for today, Bhambri and Goransson will face the Austrian-Portuguese combination of Lucas Miedler and Francisco Cabral.
