Darang (Assam), 08 January (HS): Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda, who is on a two-day visit to Assam, on Wednesday inspected several development schemes in Mangaldoi along with Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. During this, the Union Minister laid the foundation stone of the proposed 50-bed Critical Care Block at a cost of ₹24 crore.

The Union Minister and the Chief Minister inspected several projects including Darang Cancer Medical, Assam Skill Development University at Mangaldoi and Mangaldoi Town Bypass of the newly constructed National Highway-15. Apart from this, both the leaders also participated in a review meeting with departmental officials at the Darang District Commissioner's Office.

It is noteworthy that despite arriving late due to bad weather, both the leaders reached Darang district at 2 pm and participated in the programs.
