Kolkata, 8 January (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee shared an intriguing childhood story with children at an event held at Dhanadhanya Stadium on Wednesday. Known for her affection towards children, the Chief Minister said, “I haven’t been born yet; the day I die will be the day I am born.”During the state-organized event, Mamata Banerjee revealed a fascinating story about her officially recorded birthdate, January 5. She explained that her father couldn’t recall her actual date of birth while enrolling her in school. Instead, she herself suggested a random date to the teacher, which was then recorded in all her documents.Mamata also stated that she was born at home, which made it impossible to confirm the exact time or date of her birth. She expressed her dislike for her birthdate and even her name, admitting that she considered changing both but never went through with it.Reflecting on the hardships she endured during the Left Front rule in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee remarked, “I am a living corpse,” as she recalled the physical and emotional trauma she faced.
