New Delhi, 7 January (H.S.): The Ministry of Steel on Monday organised a major event titled Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Steel Industry in New Delhi. The event aimed to explore the transformational potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the steel sector, with a focus on its application across the value chain to boost efficiency, sustainability and global competitiveness.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Steel, it was informed that the event brought together industry leaders, AI experts and policy makers to exchange ideas, share insights and explore progress in the application of Artificial Intelligence in the steel industry. MD Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Hasmukh Ranjan shared valuable insights on the revolutionary capabilities of AI in steelmaking and the scope of use of AI in the industry.
He said, AI is at the core of our innovation journey, driving transformational solutions that enhance operational efficiency and deliver impressive results. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Sandeep Paundrik emphasised that, Artificial Intelligence is not a distant future concept but a present reality that is redefining the very foundations of steel production.
It is worth noting that this programme reflects the commitment of the Ministry of Steel to embrace technological advancements and help companies like SAIL build a resilient and sustainable future.
