New Delhi, January 08 (HS): Union Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan on Wednesday said that in the last few years, Indusfood has emerged as one of India's best and globally recognized trade exhibitions, which provides international market connectivity for the F&B sector. Along with this, it provides a strong impetus to India's F&B exports.
The Union Food Processing Industries Minister said this after inaugurating the 8th edition of Indusfood 2025 at the Expo Center in Greater Noida. In his address, he said that transforming Indusfood into a comprehensive farm-to-food trade fair is a visionary step of the Trade Promotion Council of India. Extending his best wishes to Indusfood 2025, Paswan said that India is known for its diversity. Our goal is to take this diversity to all corners of the world, with this thought we are working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cuisine is not limited to borders.
As the chief guest at the 8th edition of Indusfood 2025 held at India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) located in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Baba Ramdev described Indusfood as the Mahakumbh of food, where the presence of representatives from 130 countries and a large number of chefs is proof that the world has come here to try Indian cuisine and food. He said that Indian food, Indian behavior and Indian thought are respected all over the world and we know that this is the strength of India, which is recognized by the whole world.
On this occasion, APEDA Chairman Abhishek Dev said in his address that India is already ranked seventh in global food exports, touching the figure of USD 50 billion in exports last year. This year we will set new records in terms of export growth. TPCI Chairman Mohit Singla, Bikharam Chandmal MD Ashish Aggarwal, Everest Food Products Director Akash Shah along with other dignitaries, industry leaders and buyers from across the world were present at the event.
