New Delhi, 8 January (H.S.): Satya Nadella, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of information technology company Microsoft, said on Wednesday that India should take the lead in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and create basic models. However, Nadella said that investment is a real obstacle, only a mathematical breakthrough can change it completely.

On the second day of the Microsoft India AI Tour in New Delhi, Nadella said that India can do a big job in the field of Indian languages ​​and in bringing about change in its industries using AI. CEO Nadella today announced cloud and AI based strategic partnerships with the Government of India and leading companies from key sectors of the Indian economy.

At this event, Microsoft announced strategic partnerships with RailTel, Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Finserv, Mahindra Group and Upgrade, so that their teams and customers can get the benefit of cloud and AI innovation. Microsoft will provide skill training to 5,00,000 people by the year 2026 under its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India AI, a unit of Digital India Corporation. Along with this, it will establish AI Center of Excellence and AI Productivity Labs to promote inclusive development across the country.

It is worth mentioning that a day earlier Nadella had announced to invest $ 3 billion in cloud and AI infrastructure in India in the next two years. Under this, new data centers are to be established. Under this, the strategic partnerships announced today are important steps in this direction. Nadella met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on January 6. During this, various aspects of technology, innovation and AI were discussed.
