New Delhi, 7 January (H.S.): The Supreme Court has refused to hear the petition filed demanding cancellation of the pre-lims examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). The bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna advised the petitioner to first go to Patna High Court.
The court said that it understands the feelings of the students and protesters, but they should first approach the Patna High Court. During the hearing, the lawyer appearing on behalf of the petitioners said that the police has lathicharged the protesters. Patna High Court could have taken cognizance of this matter, but when this did not happen, the Supreme Court was approached.
The petition alleged widespread rigging in this examination and demanded its investigation under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge and action against the SP and DM of the district responsible for the lathicharge on the protesting students.
