CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Invites PM Modi for National Games in Uttarakhand: A Meeting of Warmth and Tradition


New Delhi, 6 January (H.S.): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and extended a warm invitation for the National Games organized in Uttarakhand.

During the meeting, he presented a shawl of Malari (Chamoli) and a replica of Narayan Ashram to the Prime Minister as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the people of the state.

The Chief Minister also expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister for his leadership, guidance, and cooperation in the development of Uttarakhand. He briefed the Prime Minister about the ongoing development projects in the state, including the Rishikesh-Karnprayag and Tanakpur Bageshwar rail projects.

The Chief Minister also requested for approval and full financial support from the Central Government for these projects. He further urged for the closure of the old railway station of Rishikesh to facilitate basic development works and to operate all trains from the new Yoga Nagari railway station. The Chief Minister also highlighted the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttarakhand and requested for the release of remaining central funds soon.

He expressed gratitude for selecting Rishikesh as an iconic city for river rafting and requested for resources from the central level for the Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor projects. Lastly, he informed the Prime Minister about a proposed MoU with Iceland Embassy for geothermal energy exploitation in Uttarakhand and received necessary no objection letter from the Ministry. The Chief Minister expressed his hope for continued support and cooperation from the Central Government for the overall development of Uttarakhand.
