New Delhi, 7 January (H.S.): Delhi's Patiala House Court has extended the stay on the order to attach Bikaner House in Delhi till February 1. Special Judge Vidya Prakash of the Commercial Court of Patiala House Court ordered to extend the stay on attachment. The court had ordered the concerned officer of Nokha Municipality to appear in the court to decide the terms of the announcement of the sale of Bikaner House, after which today Nokha Municipality demanded a stay on the order to attach Bikaner House.

During the hearing today, Nokha Municipality of Rajasthan said that it has challenged the order of this court in the Delhi High Court. On November 29, 2024, the Patiala House Court stayed its order and directed Nokha Municipality to deposit an amount of Rs 50,31,512 within a week. Patiala House Court had issued an order to attach Bikaner House for not following the agreement reached in the dispute between Enviro Infra Engineers Private Limited and Nokha Municipality of Rajasthan.

The court had said in the order that on January 21, 2020, an arbitral award of Rs 50,31,512 was passed in favor of Enviro Infra Engineers Private Limited. Nokha Municipality's appeal against this award was rejected. The court had said that Nokha Municipality was repeatedly asked to file an affidavit regarding the information of its properties, but it did not follow any order. In such a situation, there is no option left except to attach Bikaner House.
