Prayagraj,
5 January (H.S.): People come here for the Maha Kumbh Mela with the spirit of
giving. This is the belief of Hindu society, which makes me realize that
whatever I have belongs to God, nothing is ours. That's why when King Harsh
used to come here; he used to donate everything he had. He even gave away his
clothes. His sister used to bring clothes from home, and then he used to wear
them and go from here, said Dr. Krishna Gopal, co-sarkaryavah secretary of Rashtriya
Swayamsevak Sangh.
At the inauguration of 'Netra
Kumbh' on Sunday at Bajrang Das Marg, Sector 6 of Mahakumbh area, he expressed happiness over such a big event.
He said that there are about 250 organizations
working together in this Netra Kumbh. There are many people who have feelings
of Hindutva. There is potential in our country. He also said that there is a
problem, lack of practice of working together, which is now gradually being
removed.
Dr. Krishna Gopal said that about one crore people in our country are
visually impaired. Due to lack of treatment they become more distressed. This
step taken by Saksham for such people is commendable. He said that when our
body becomes perfect, it can be useful to others. Due to lack of proper
operation here, there is lack of awareness among the people. If awareness comes
then not even a single person in India will be visually impaired. He further
said that during the last Netra Kumbh, about 11,000 people did not take their
spectacles due to some reason. After Kumbh, glasses were dispatched and
delivered to their addresses. He said that in our India, the spirit of ‘Sarve
Bhavantu Sukhinah’ prevails in everyone. This feeling is present in all
animals, birds, earth, rivers etc. In the end he said that gradually all the
problems in the country will be solved together. All people should set such an
example for the Hindu society which is inspiring for others.
Mahamandaleshwar
Avadheshanand Giri said that God has two eyes, the Sun and the Moon. Sun is the
lord of intellect and Moon is the lord of mind. Whatever we have, we should
donate. He said that the operations of the patients seen in Netra Kumbh across
the country will be free. Those who come here from far away places, if their
need arises, it will be fulfilled. Such arrangements have been made in Netra
Kumbh. In the end he said that I am very happy with such a program. While
presiding over the program, National President of Saksham Govind Raj said that
eyes have a huge contribution in the development of human life. If the eyes are
good then life remains dynamic. Economic prosperity increases. Otherwise life
becomes dark. Saksham's National Organization Minister Chandrashekhar said that
during Netra Kumbh, the target has been set to provide free eye treatment to
about five lakh eye patients and distribution of three lakh spectacles. He said
that about 1.25 crore people in the country are victims of complete blindness
or some kind of serious eye disease. A large number of these people are unable
to see due to a defect in the cornea. Due to lack of money, they are not able
to get proper treatment. All arrangements are free for such people. Patients
will be provided operation facilities in a hospital located near their home.
Not only this, OPD will be conducted for diseases other than eyes as well.
