Lucknow,
5 January (H.S.): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid floral tributes to the
portrait of former Chief Minister and Governor 'Padma Vibhushan' Kalyan Singh
in a program organized at 2, Mall Avenue on his birth anniversary. The Chief
Minister said that to keep his memories alive, the state government has also
named the state-of-the-art Cancer Institute in Lucknow and the Medical College
in Bulandshahr after Kalyan Singh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that
Kalyan Singh is a great son of Mother India. He was a patriot and devotee of
Ram. He was born on this day in 1932 in an ordinary farmer family in a small
village of Aligarh. Since childhood, the child Kalyan Singh, imbued with the
values of watching the country's freedom struggle, realizing the freedom and
what will be our role in building the future of India, at that time, started
himself through the common shakha of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and further
programs. He was moulded in the mould of patriotism. Everyone acknowledged his
efficiency, diligence and administrative ability as a farmer, teacher, health
minister of the state in 1977, MLA, MP, twice Chief Minister of the state and
Governor of two states.
Kalyan
Singh never compromised with principles and values: Yogi said that people
sacrifice principles for power. To achieve something one compromises with
values but a personality like Kalyan Singh never compromised with values
and principles. The Ram Janmabhoomi movement and even after that, the efforts
started by him in the early and late 1990s to give a new direction to the
politics of the state and to improve administrative efficiency, give a glimpse
of the new Uttar Pradesh.
For
the first time People of UP realized good governance: Chief Minister Yogi said
that the country got independence in 1947 but the people of Uttar Pradesh
realized it for the first time when Kalyan Singh took oath as the Chief
Minister and improved the governance system. Pushed forward: Even at that time,
groups of people were bent on spreading chaos to destabilize the government.
Regardless of that, he sacrificed his government for the construction of Shri
Ram temple. He had foresight, the dream he saw came true. If today the
construction work of the grand temple at Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya is
completed, his soul would also have attained immense peace.
A
campaign was launched to brighten the future of the youth through cheating-free
examinations: CM Yogi said that the integral humanism of Pt. Deendayal
Upadhyay, which he had learned in the school of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh,
was also implemented on the ground. Be it the schemes announced for Annadata
farmers, the campaign run by him to brighten the future of the youth of Uttar
Pradesh through cheating-free examinations is also exemplary. He said that on
August 21, 2021, he is no more with us physically but his guidance is still
used for governance and administration. Whenever there is talk of cleanliness
in Uttar Pradesh, every resident of the state takes the name of Kalyan Singh
with reverence and respect. The campaigns started by him are seen to be
changing the lives of the common people by firmly achieving the goals of good
governance. Let us all work together for the new Uttar Pradesh for which he
dedicated his life. Yogi said that only the mantra of nationalism and good
governance will be able to underline the role of Uttar Pradesh in building a
new India.
Kalyan
Singh's grandson, who is giving a new direction to education as Basic Education
Minister, said that Kalyan Singh has studied as a student of the Basic
Education School and worked as a teacher. Today his grandson is giving a new
direction to education as the minister of that department. This is the result
of the penance and sadhana of our ancestors. Efforts made in the right
direction will definitely bring results.
Kalyan
Singh's dream is being realized by bringing security and prosperity in the
lives of 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh. Former MP Rajveer Singh 'Raju
Bhaiya', son of Kalyan Singh, welcomed the visitors. On this occasion, BJP
State President Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh
Pathak, Union Minister BL Verma, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, MP
Sakshi Maharaj, Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge)
Sandeep Singh etc. were present.
