Journey from struggle to gold
This victory of Vijay Kumar is not just a medal, but the story of his hard work, struggle and unwavering dedication. Coming from a simple family, Vijay did not have the resources for expensive nutritional supplements or special training, but his ambition was always high. In the early days, simple 'dal-rice' was his main diet, but on the strength of his hard work, he proved himself at the national level.
'It was my passion, my only goal'
On this historic achievement, Vijay said, My parents did not see any future in weightlifting. They wanted me to give it up, but it was my passion, my only goal. Today's gold medal is proof that my struggle was right.
Vijay faced many challenges in his journey, the biggest of which was an old hamstring injury. At times, he himself doubted whether he would ever be able to compete at the top level. But his hard work and determination made him victorious.
Dedicated gold to family and coach
This gold medal is not only a personal achievement for Vijay, but also a symbol of dedication towards his parents and coach. Vijay got emotional and said, This medal is for them. They believed in me when no one else did.
Inspiration for young players
A few weeks before this historic victory, Vijay had shared an inspirational message on social media: My journey will continue until I succeed.
And today, he proved his words true. This achievement of Vijay Kumar is an inspiration not only for him but for every young athlete. It shows that if the spirits are high and there is no lack of hard work, then no obstacle is big.
