Guwahati, 17 January (HS): The quarterly magazine 'Shankhnad' of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Northeast Province has released today at a ceremony held at Panchajanya Bhawan in Ulubari, Guwahati. The event was attended by chief guest VHP Central Publicity Chief Vijay Tiwari, Northeast Regional Organization Secretary Dinesh Tiwari, Northeast Province Vice President Dhruv Mahanta, and Northeast Regional Secretary Kumud Barthakur, among other dignitaries.
The magazine's objective was explained by its chief editor Ajay Kumar Bora. Editors Parag Sharma and Ajay Talukdar were also present at the event.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest Vijay Tiwari highlighted the purpose behind the publication of 'Shankhnad'. He stated that forces are working to divide Hindu society by creating misleading narratives. For years, narratives have been propagated to alienate people from their religion, culture, and traditions. To counter this, efforts must be made to communicate effectively with society, and 'Shankhnad' will play a significant role in this mission.
Tiwari elaborated on the methods used to create divisions within Hindu society, referencing examples from films and other mediums. He emphasized the need to use magazines to present the teachings of the Vedas, Upanishads, Gita, and Ramayana in simple language for the masses. Several other important points were also discussed during the event.
