New Delhi, 07 September (HS): Tata-led Air India Airlines on Saturday announced the extension of check-in deadline for its international flight. The airlines have said that now the check-in counter will close 75 minutes before its scheduled departure time. This rule will apply to all international departures from the capital New Delhi. This rule will be effective from September 10, 2024.

The company said in a statement issued on X post that the check-in counter for international departures from New Delhi will now close 75 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Air India said that this adjustment from the previous 60-minute closure ensures a seamless and comfortable travel experience for everyone, providing ample time for check-in procedures and security clearance even during busy periods. We appreciate your cooperation in reaching the airport before this new closing time.

Earlier in August, Air India had said that from September 10, 2024, check-in counters for international flights from New Delhi airport will close 75 minutes before flight departure. The airline had also requested passengers to report to the check-in counter on time at that time. It is worth noting that international departure is the area used by passengers to go abroad. After passing through the passport checkpoint located in the International Terminal, passengers can proceed to international departure.
