New Delhi, 19 September (H.S.): India reacted sharply to USA civil court summoning National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and officials of the intelligence agency, RAW, in a case filed by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, and rejected the allegations leveled in the case.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Mistri said in a press conference on Thursday that all such allegations are baseless and undesirable. This case filed by Pannu does not change our opinion. Without naming Pannu, the Foreign Secretary said that everyone knows what is the background of this man. This man is associated with an illegal organization. Regarding Pannu's organization 'Sikhs for Justice', he said that it is involved in anti-India and subversive activities that harm our sovereignty and territorial integrity. That is why it has been banned under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

When asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi will raise the issue of Khalistani activities there during his meeting with the US President, the Foreign Secretary said that all issues related to common concerns will be discussed. He did not mention any specific issue.

It is noteworthy that the District Court of the Southern District of New York has issued summons to Indian officials on the basis of the case filed by terrorist Pannu. Pannu has demanded compensation from India. These include the names of the Government of India as well as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, former chief of intelligence agency RAW Samant Goyal and an officer of the agency Vikram Yadav. Along with this, an Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta is also mentioned. Gupta is currently lodged in a New York jail in connection with the conspiracy to murder terrorist Pannu. He is accused of contacting a hired shooter to kill Pannu. This case has been going on for about a year.

Rejecting the allegations made by America, India says that it is not in our policy to target suspicious people abroad.
