Hamirpur, 5 July (HS): The government has now decided to register the farmers before the next payment of Kisan Samman Nidhi. For this, the Revenue Department has prepared a blueprint for conducting surveys in every village and uploading it on the data portal. By having farmer registry, farmers will get the benefits of all the schemes of the government. For the first time, the government has decided to get the farmer registry done before the Kisan Samman Nidhi. There are about twenty lakh farmers in Bundelkhand.
In Hamirpur district alone, two lakh twenty three thousand farmers do farming. Here one lakh ninety three thousand farmers get the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi. On the instructions of the government, preparations for conducting farmer registry in the entire state including Hamirpur have been completed.
The department has also set a time limit for preparing the farmer registry under Agristack. Deputy Director of Agriculture Harishankar Bhargava of the district said that it will be very easy for the farmers to avail the benefits of crop insurance from the farmer registry. Along with this, there will also be ease in identification of farmers for compensation under disaster management.
He said that registration of farmers for purchase at minimum support price can now be done online. Farmers will also be able to easily avail the benefits of various government schemes. He said that in availing the facilities of government schemes, it will be very easy for the agriculture and allied departments to give the benefits of the schemes on the basis of the available data of Farmer Registry and the beneficiary farmer will not need to undergo verification again and again. Farmers will get timely advice and opportunities through various institutions. Farmers who do not prepare farmer registry will no longer get Kisan Samman Nidhi. Deputy Director of Agriculture Harishankar Bhargava said that for the first time on the decision of the government, farmer registry will be started before Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. With Farmer Registry, the problems of farmers will be reduced to zero. He said that those farmers whose farmer registry is not ready will not get the money for the next installment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. Therefore, farmers can contact their lekhpals and get the farmer registry prepared in time.
The Revenue Department is ready to conduct a survey in every village and upload it on the data portal. Deputy Director of Agriculture said that the accountants of the Revenue Department will conduct surveys in every village from July 8 to July 31 to prepare the farmer registry under Agristack. After conducting the survey, the data of the farmers will also be filled on the portal. This action will continue for the entire month. With the preparation of Farmer Registry, it will be easier for the farmers to get Kisan Credit Card and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund for crop loan and other loans along with the development of agriculture.
