Jorhat (Assam), 26 June (HS). A case of brutally killing by the wife of her husband by slitting his throat has come to light in Moriyani area of Jorhat district.

Police said on Wednesday that Lakshmini Ganju Ravidas, wife of Surjeet Ravidas (32), a resident of 11 number line of Helikha tea garden in Moriyani, killed her husband and surrendered at the Moriyani police station along with her mother Anila Ravidas.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and found that Surjeet Ravidas''s head was separated from the body. The police team reached the spot and took the body of the deceased into their custody and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem.

The police have registered an FIR in this regard and are intensively interrogating the wife and mother-in-law of the arrested deceased.
