Mumbai, 19 June (HS): Chalo, which operates the premium AC BEST Chalo Bus service under license from BEST, has seen a 50% increase in passengers in the previous three months, with an average daily ridership of 10,000 on a normal workday. To meet rising demand, Chalo is extending its fleet by 44%, adding new electric luxury AC buses, bringing the overall network size to 144. This investment will result in additional journeys on popular routes like as Belapur-Colaba (via MTHL-Atal Setu), Thane-Andheri, Thane-BKC, and Navi Mumbai-BKC. Commuters on these routes should expect daily trip increases ranging from 15% to 40%. The Belapur-Colaba (via MTHL) route, which connects Navi Mumbai to Colaba via the new MTHL-Atal Setu and Eastern Freeway, has grown rapidly in popularity.

To solve this, Chalo has increased this route's trips by 50%. With this fleet increase, Chalo is looking at new all-day and weekend routes to serve a bigger audience in Mumbai.

Chalo's monthly travel plans are especially popular among consumers since they provide convenience and flexibility with options ranging from 10 to 45 visits. The most popular choice is the 45-trip plan, which is followed by the 25-trip plan. Chalo has also launched route-specific passes in response to popular demand, which has been favourably appreciated.

Mohit Dubey, CEO of Chalo, expresses his delight at the increased demand for Chalo buses in Mumbai. Chalo will introduce new all-day and weekend routes, delivering a smooth and economical public transportation experience across Mumbai.
