Lucknow, 16 May (HS): Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, attended a joint news conference with his INDI Alliance partner and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Thursday. Both however, evaded questions regarding assault on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal by Kejriwal's trusted lieutenant and his personal secretary Bibhav Kumar.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor urged people to vote for the INDI Alliance, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not seeking votes for himself, but for union Minister Amit Shah. He maintained that if the BJP wins the polls, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be ousted within months.
Kejriwal further stated that if PM Modi is re-elected, his administration will repeal the quota for SC/STs and OBCs, and expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc will form the government when the poll results are released on June 4.
