Yogi's ouster certain to make way for Amit Shah becoming PM, harps Kejriwal

Lucknow, 16 May (HS): On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal maintained his allegation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will retire from politics when he is 75 next year, with Home Minister Amit Shah succeeding him.

Addressing a joint news conference with his INDI bloc partner and Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow, Kejriwal stated that the whole country trusts Modi to not break his rule of retiring at the age of 75. The Aam Aadmi Party's national leader alleged that the BJP has laid the ground for Shah to become Prime Minister.

For him, the BJP has ignored all challenges, including Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dr Raman Singh, Vasundhara Raje, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Devendra Fadnavis. The only remaining challenge is Yogi Adityanath, who will be ousted within the next 2-3 months, according to Kejriwal.

The Delhi Chief Minister went on to say that no BJP leader has opposed to what he said about Adityanath and that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's departure was likely. Kejriwal also said that the BJP will win less than 220 seats in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, since the saffron party's seats will be cut in various states.

Trends indicate that the BJP will win less than 220 seats. Their seats would be cut in Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan.

He insisted that the INDI coalition, not the BJP, will form the government. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav expressed confidence that the INDI alliance will trounce the BJP in the polls. Yadav asserted that out of 543 seats, the BJP estimates it would only gain 143.
