South India Says Goodbye: Jairam Ramesh Claims BJP Wiped Out, Modi on the Way Out?

Ranchi/Delhi, 15 May (H.S): The Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh has claimed that the BJP has been wiped out from south India and reduced to half in the rest of the country, calling Narendra Modi the outgoing prime minister. Ramesh accused the PM of polarizing voters on religious lines and claimed that the BJP's campaign now revolves around Hindu-Muslim issues. He also alleged that Modi has been lying about not playing the politics of division. Ramesh stated that the INDIA bloc, which includes Congress and its allies, would form the next government and ensure a nationwide caste census to give proper representation to SCs, STs, and backward classes.

He also criticized the BJP-led government for misusing agencies like ED, CBI, and IT Department and promised to revisit their powers if the Congress comes into power. Ramesh also emphasized on the need for inclusive distribution rather than redistribution of wealth, and stated that their 400-paar slogan is about raising the daily minimum wage to Rs 400 for all workers. He questioned why the BJP was not using these agencies to investigate their allegations of Congress receiving money from Adani-Ambani instead of making baseless accusations. Ramesh concluded by stating that the INDIA bloc is fighting to save democracy and the Constitution of the country.
