New Delhi, 21 April (HS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Sunday that the BJP-led Centre aims to prove railways incapable so that it can sell them off to its buddies, and asked people to vote out the Modi administration to defend common people's transportation.

Gandhi posted a video on X showing people sitting in bathrooms and on the floor of a train to criticize the administration.

Gandhi wrote in a post on X that rail journey has become a penalty under Narendra Modi's administration! Passengers of all classes are being tormented by the Modi administration, which is pushing only 'elite trains' by removing regular carriages from common passenger trains.

He added that even with verified tickets, people cannot sit calmly in their seats. Gandhi claimed that the average person is obliged to travel by hiding in the lavatory or sitting on the floor. The Modi government wants to prove railways 'incompetent' by weakening them with its policies, giving it an excuse to sell them to its friends, Gandhi claimed.

If common people's transportation is to be protected, the Modi administration, which is destroying the railway, must be abolished, according to the former Congress head.
