New Delhi, 21 April (HS): Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated on Sunday that employment is the most important issue for young people in ongoing election, and that if his party wins power, it will bring about an employment revolution.

In hundreds of rallies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not said how many jobs his government has created in the previous decade. Kharge stated in a Hindi post on X that 20 crore jobs were supposed to be created in ten years, but more than 12 crore were taken away.

The Congress would launch an employment revolution under Yuva Nyay to make the transition from recruitment exams to job placement easy, he added. Kharge enumerated the Congress' promises, including 'Bharti Bharosa', which will fill 30 lakh government employment openings.

'Pehli Naukri Pakki' - Under the Right to Apprenticeship, every degree/diploma holder is guaranteed their first employment with an annual honorarium of Rs 1 lakh. Freedom from paper leaks - He stated that Congress would establish fast-track courts to hear cases of paper leaks for employment examinations and compensate victims financially.

Kharge also said that social security for the gig economy will be granted. We will pass social security legislation to defend the rights of workers in the gig economy, he added. “Yuva Roshni – Congress would revamp the Fund of money initiative for start-ups and disburse 50% of available money, Rs 5,000 crore, evenly throughout all districts of the nation, as far as practicable, so that youngsters may establish their own businesses, expand them, and generate job opportunities,” Kharge claimed.

Aside from that, he stated that the Congress will put an end to the Agnipath military recruiting system, which targets patriotic young. Due to widespread unemployment, Congress will eliminate student education loan dues and interest until March 15, 2024, and banks will be compensated by the government, he explained.

The Congress would grant a sports scholarship of Rs 10,000 per month to bright and young athletes under the age of 21, he added. He stated that the party will remove application costs for government exams and positions. The Congress would also grant one-time respite to applicants (aspirants) who were unable to sit for the government examination between April 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 due to the pandemic, he added. Kharge stated that the party will carry out all it says.
