UP CM reviews Master Plan-2031 focuses on balanced and speedy growth

Lucknow, 04 March (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected Saharanpur, Mirzapur, Banda, Basti, Amroha, and Firozabad's Master Plan-2031 on Monday, emphasizing the development authorities' goal of guiding planned, balanced, and speedy growth. The chief minister also provided instructions for planned development, according to an official announcement released here.

The goal of development authority is to lead planned, balanced, and speedy growth. The focus should be on the convenience of the average person. All development authorities will have to find new sources of income, the chief minister was reported as saying at the presentation.

Adityanath issued orders, saying that clusters should be formed to promote local crafts and traditional items, and that monuments should be placed in parks rather than at junctions.

He emphasized the importance of effective traffic management in metropolitan areas and suggested that taxi-auto stands and street vendor zones be set. The chief minister stated that appropriate space for multi-level parking should be specified, and that property for this purpose should be explicitly defined in the master plan. According to Adityanath, Saharanpur, renowned as the 'Gateway to Devbhoomi', has seen an increase in business activity and residential influx as a result of better connectivity and urban amenities.

He noted that the Saharanpur master plan should have well-planned facilities for the growth of industrial, commercial, and residential activity.

The chief minister stated that finding an appropriate location for a wood carving cluster in Saharanpur, preferably near the present woodcraft center, is critical, and that space for logistics and storage hubs must be allocated.

Authorities should develop an action plan for new residential projects to meet the demands of the general public, he added.

Adityanath stated that the master plan for Amroha is being drafted for the first time, with an emphasis on planned growth.

He urged officials to integrate the newly constructed medical college and state university in the Mirzapur master plan.

The chief minister went on to say that Basti is making quick progress in development and that planned growth is necessary by incorporating these advancements into the Master Plan-2031.

Adityanath stated that an industrial corridor has been suggested in Banda and that the scope of the master plan should include the corridor.

Connect it to the Bundelkhand Expressway, he said, adding that tangible steps must be made to guarantee that high traffic does not impair the city's overall traffic.
