Kanpur, 28 March (HS): The decision in the arson case registered against SP MLA Irfan Solanki was postponed on Thursday. MP/MLA court can now give its verdict on April 4. However, all the accused including Irfan Solanki and Rizwan Solanki appeared in the court and heavy police force remained deployed in anticipation of the verdict. SP MLA Irfan Solanki, lodged in Maharajganj jail, was presented in the court on Thursday amid heavy security. During this, the accused MLA's brother Rizwan and others also appeared. There was a possibility that the court would give its verdict today for which additional police force was deployed in the court premises, but the court postponed the next date to April 4. Even before this, the court had given the date of March 14, March 19 and March 22 to pronounce the verdict in the case, but the verdict was postponed on all three dates. It is expected that the court can now give its verdict on April 4. Irfan's lawyer Kaleem Ahmed Siddiqui said that the cross-examination of the defense and prosecution has been completed and there was a possibility that the verdict would be announced today, but the court has postponed the next date to April 4. During this, after getting down from the car, Irfan Solanki while going to the court said that justice will prevail…Inshallah. Apart from this, Irfan Solanki did not answer any questions of the media persons. Irfan Solanki's family and close ones are also heartbroken over the decision. On the other hand, high alert was declared in Kanpur regarding the court's decision on Irfan Solanki and forces remained deployed in sensitive areas also.
