New Delhi, 3 December (H.S.): The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Kolkata has appealed to the Bangladesh government to ensure the safety of lawyers in the case of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das.
The appeal came after a group of Islamists attacked the house of Das's lawyer Raman Roy, who was seriously injured and is now battling for his life in the ICU.
The organization's spokesperson Radharaman Das stated that Roy's only fault was that he defended Chinmoy Krishna Das, and this attack has left other lawyers too scared to take up the case.
ISKCON Kolkata has urged the government to provide adequate security to lawyers willing to fight the case and prevent such targeted attacks.
