Imphal, 27 December (HS): Manipur Police has arrested two KCP (PWG) rebels from Awang Wabgai Lamkhai area of Imphal West district. These rebels were involved in extortion from various brick kilns, schools, petrol pumps in Pangi and Khongampat areas and a health center in Sekmai.

The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Imtiyaz Khan (45) and Irengbam Gulapi Singh (43).

Two mobile phones, two wallets containing ₹1100, one Aadhar card, one PAN card, one driving license and one two-wheeler were recovered from the arrested persons.

The police are investigating the matter and interrogation of the arrested persons is going on.
