Bhubaneswar, 27 December (H.S.): Union Home Minister Amit Shah's planned visit to Odisha on December 28 has been cancelled due to the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, which has caused nationwide mourning.

Jajpur Lok Sabha Member Rabindra Narayan Behera confirmed the cancellation today, noting that the decision was made as a mark of respect for the late leader.

Shah was expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar tomorrow evening. During his visit, he was due to participate in three events, including a national party meeting, on December 29 in the state capital.
