Bengaluru, 23 December (HS): South India's famous literary organization 'Shabd', in its 27th annual festival-cum-award presentation ceremony last Sunday, honored eminent storyteller Bhagwandas Morwal with the 'Agyeya Shabd Srijan Samman' worth one lakh rupees and 'Dakshin Bharat Shabd Hindi Sevi Samman' worth twenty one thousand rupees was given to the famous educationist and Principal of Nalgonda Government College, Dr. Ghanshyam S. Apart from cash, Angavastram, memento, commendation plaque and quince were also presented to the honored dignitaries.
While receiving the 'Agyeya Shabd Srijan Samman', storyteller Bhagwandas Morwal said that it is very important for a creator to have historical neutrality and understanding of his people's life. ‘Shabd’ organization has confirmed my historical neutrality and understanding by giving me its prestigious ‘Agyeya Shabd Srijan Samman’.Educationist Dr. Ghanshyam, while receiving the 'Dakshin Bharat Shabd Hindi Sevi Samman', said that in today's era of erosion of values, we have to work with transparency, love, hard work and purity.
He praised the work of 'Shabd' and returned the prize money to the organization and requested to use the amount in the future programs of 'Shabd'.
On this occasion, the chief guest of the function, renowned Kannada storyteller Hampa Nagarajayya said that it is very important to be kind-hearted for the association of literature. The meaning of the word is light as well as illumination. But a word is most meaningful when it is silent. This word is expressed. The litterateur meditates on this word.
In his welcome address, President of 'Shabd', Dr. Shreenarayan Sameer said that the aim of 'Shabd' awards is to bring and strengthen literature and litterateurs in the center of thought of the If this effort of the South can create a stir in the North, then we will consider our effort to strengthen the spirit of India successful. On this occasion, the poetry book ‘Bharat Charit’ of ‘Shabd’ member Shriprakash Yadav was also released. Let it be known that 'Agyeya Shabd Srijan Samman' is given with the courtesy of the foundation of Babulal Gupta, a social worker and connoisseur of Agyeya literature and 'Dakshin Bharat Shabd Hindi Sevi Samman' is given with the courtesy of 'Dakshin Bharat Rashtramat', a newspaper group published from Bengaluru and Chennai. The program was efficiently conducted by Dr. Usharani Rao, Secretary of 'Shabd' and the vote of thanks was given by program coordinator Shrikant Sharma.
In the first session of the festival, a memorable staging of the poignant play ‘Jo Peecher Reh Jaate Hain’ was performed by famous playwright and theater director Mathura Kalauni’s theater institute ‘Kalayan’. All the actors of the play are IT professionals, who kept the audience enthralled for a long time with their brilliant acting.
