Kamarup (Assam), December 22 (HS): A sudden fire broke out in the houses of two individuals, Balen Kalita and Nab Kalita, at Bamundi Bandhavi Para in Kamarup district on Saturday night. As the fire spread quickly, local residents tried to control the flames, but one house was completely burned down.

A team from the Shuwalkuchi Police Station, led by Officer Nabajit Dekar, reached the site and managed to extinguish the fire. The fire caused damages exceeding 2 lakh rupees. The affected family stated they were unaware of the cause of the fire.
