Delhi, 21 December (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for his popularity among the Indian diaspora and on Saturday, he won hearts on social media by promising to meet a 101-year-old retired Indian Foreign Service officer, Mangal Sain Handa, in Kuwait at the request of his granddaughter, Shreya Juneja. PM Modi's personal touch in engaging with the Indian diaspora during foreign visits has endeared him to many, and his gesture towards Juneja left her overjoyed. In fact, many other social media users expressed their envy and requested her to share PM Modi's contact details with them.

PM Modi's visit to Kuwait comes at a crucial time following the tragic Mangaf building fire incident, where 46 Indian workers were killed. This visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years, aims to strengthen bilateral relations and address issues concerning Indian expatriates. With the Indian community being the largest expatriate community in Kuwait, this visit holds significance in further strengthening the multifaceted ties between India and Kuwait.
