New Delhi, 21 December (HS): On the first World Meditation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged the countrymen to make meditation a part of their daily routine. He said that meditation is a powerful way to bring peace and harmony in one's life.

The Prime Minister wrote in the post, Today on World Meditation Day, I urge everyone to make meditation a part of their daily life and experience its transformative potential. Meditation is a powerful way to bring peace and harmony in one's life, as well as in our society and planet. In the age of technology, apps and guided videos can be valuable tools to help incorporate meditation into our daily routine. It is noteworthy that the United Nations has declared December 21 as World Meditation Day. India played a leading role in co-sponsoring the draft resolution of the United Nations General Assembly in this regard. This year's theme of World Meditation Day is Meditation for Global Peace and Harmony emphasizing the role of meditation in promoting global peace and unity.
