Murshidabad, 21 December (H.S.): The dead body of a man was found at some distance from his house in South Ghoshpada area of Jalangi in Murshidabad district on Saturday morning. As per information, the youth was missing from home overnight. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

According to police sources, the name of the deceased was Hannan Sheikh (42). He was a resident of South Ghoshpada area. According to the preliminary investigation of the police, the person died due to excessive drinking. However, the actual cause of death can be confirmed only after the post-mortem. However, the elder brother of the deceased, Kashem Sheikh, alleged that someone made his brother unconscious by giving him alcohol and killed him.
